Welcome to Pain Medicine at the University of Florida

UF Pain Medicine at the University of FloridaThe University of Florida has a long history of taking care of people with widely varied and complex pain conditions. In the past, this has been performed through the Department of Anesthesiology and the Addiction Medicine Division.

Now, with the commitment of the Dean of the College of Medicine, the leadership of the Chairman of Anesthesiology and the participation of Chairmen of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation, and Neurology; the University of Florida has established the Division of UF Pain Medicine within the Department of Anesthesiology.

The UF Comprehensive Pain Medicine Fellowship was established in the Department of Anesthesiology with the participation of the Depts of Neurology, Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, and Pain Psychology.

This Division represents a truly multidisciplinary commitment to the care of our patients who suffer from pain.

Mission of the UF Pain Medicine Program

Our mission is to deliver the highest quality of clinical care to our patients, to guide the future development of our discipline, to train the next generation of leaders in Pain Medicine, and to facilitate ground-breaking discoveries in clinical, translational, and basic research.
